The Department of Philosophy at Istanbul University and the Association for Research in Logic are pleased to announce the International Hans Reichenbach Congress: Reichenbach in İstanbul, which will be held on 5–6 November 2026 at the Faculty of Letters, İstanbul University.
As one of the leading philosophers of the twentieth century, Hans Reichenbach has left a lasting impact on contemporary philosophical discussions through his contributions to the philosophy of science, philosophy of physics, logic, epistemology, and probability theory. Reichenbach’s thought remains significant not only within the tradition of logical empiricism but also in current debates concerning scientific explanation, causality, time, space, relativity theory, and the structure of knowledge.
This congress aims to reassess Reichenbach’s philosophical legacy from both historical and systematic perspectives and to explore the relevance of his contributions to science, logic, physics, and epistemology for contemporary philosophical problems.
We invite submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics:

Paper proposals may be submitted in Turkish or English. Abstracts should clearly present the central problem, objective, methodology, and the conclusions reached or intended to be reached by the study.
